As a member of the Political Ops team, you’ll help ensure high-quality data, optimize campaign workflows, and operationalize our proprietary advocacy tools. Your work will directly impact how AI is reshaping political influence and outcomes. 

What you’ll do:

  • Support day-to-day operations of advocacy and campaign efforts, with a focus on powering creative, data-driven digital campaigns
  • Partner closely with creative and digital operations teams to develop, manage, and deliver campaign inputs, including target lists, messaging insights, and creative briefs
  • Build, QA, and maintain influencer, stakeholder, and voter targeting datasets, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with campaign goals
  • Translate political and advocacy objectives into actionable targeting strategies for media traders
  • Support the development and ongoing improvement of our advocacy AI tools, including testing, validation, and feedback 
  • Create and manage creative content inputs, including copy drafts and campaign concepts in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Manage multiple campaigns and workstreams simultaneously, tracking timelines, deliverables, and dependencies using project management tools (Asana)
  • Monitor campaign execution and performance signals, flagging issues, insights, and optimization opportunities to internal teams
  • Document processes, best practices, and campaign learnings to improve operational efficiency and scalability

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, government, international relations, public affairs, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting or executing political, advocacy, public affairs, or digital campaigns
  • Strong understanding of American politics and government, with a practical grasp of how advocacy and influence campaigns operate in the real world
  • Demonstrated interest in political advocacy and digital campaigning, including the role of technology and data in influencing decision-makers and voters
  • Experience supporting or executing electoral, advocacy, or public affairs campaigns
  • Comfort working at the intersection of politics, creative strategy, and data
  • Proven ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude) to create efficiencies, generate insights, and support workflows
  • Strong project and time management skills, with hands-on experience using Asana or similar tools
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Drive and Canva (or comparable creative and collaboration tools)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex political concepts for cross-functional teams

This is a fully remote, full-time benefits eligible position. Neptune Ops provides a robust suite of benefits including: discretionary time off, health, dental, vision, mental health, pet, and legal insurance as well as 401(k) match, sick time, holiday pay, and paid time off for bereavement and jury duty. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000. Base compensation is determined by many factors including: geography, the candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for our annual bonus program.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the day-to-day execution of political advocacy and campaign operations, with a focus on ad production, accuracy, and on-time delivery
  • Assist in preparing campaign inputs such as targeting lists, creative briefs, copy drafts, and messaging notes under the direction of senior team members
  • Help build, QA, update, and organize influencer, stakeholder, and voter datasets to ensure data is clean, complete, and campaign-ready
    Support digital ops team by translating defined campaign goals into properly formatted targeting and production materials
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on campaign assets, targeting files, and documentation before launch
  • Assist with testing and basic validation of internal advocacy and AI-powered tools, logging feedback and flagging issues for review
  • Track campaign tasks, timelines, and deliverables using project management tools (e.g., Asana)
  • Monitor live campaigns for basic performance signals or execution issues and escalate findings to senior team members
  • Maintain clear documentation, templates, and process checklists to support operational consistency and team efficiency
  • Provide general production and administrative support to the political operations team as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, government, public affairs, communications, or a related field 
  • Interest in political advocacy, campaigns, or public affairs, with a desire to learn how digital and data-driven efforts are executed behind the scenes
  • Familiarity with American politics and the basic mechanics of advocacy or electoral campaigns
  • Some experience (internship, volunteer role, campus org, or entry-level job) supporting political, advocacy, nonprofit, or public affairs work
  • Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and structured inputs, with strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, QA, and operational workflows
  • Basic experience with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Airtable, or similar)
  • Proficiency with Google Drive; experience with Canva or similar tools is a plus
  • Highly professional, organized, reliable, and able to iterate processes while juggling multiple tasks
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams
  • Eagerness to grow into more advanced political operations, targeting, or campaign strategy responsibilities over time

This is a fully remote, full-time benefits eligible position. You’ll work closely with our Political Ops and Digital Ops teams to ensure data accuracy, improve workflows, and deploy our proprietary tools that power modern political advocacy. This internship offers hands-on exposure to how the AI age is changing political outcomes.  You’ll gain experience that is highly relevant to careers in campaigns, public affairs, technology, and policy.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the development of our AI-I™, Advanced Influencer Intelligence through research, building audiences, testing, and quality assurance
  • Conduct quality assurance and validation of influencer and stakeholder targeting data, ensuring accuracy and political relevance
  • Assist in building, refining, and documenting political datasets used by the platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify gaps, edge cases, and opportunities for improvement
  • Use AI tools to streamline research and analysis, and improve internal workflows
  • Support ongoing projects, including advocacy campaigns, policy research, and stakeholder mapping
  • Track tasks and timelines using project management tools (Asana) and help keep projects on schedule
  • Create and maintain internal documentation, presentations, and visual assets using Google Drive and Canva

What we’re looking for:

  • Pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in political science, government, international relations, public affairs, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the realities and nuances of American politics and government
  • Clear interest in political advocacy and the use of technology to influence policy and decision-making
  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools to improve efficiency and ways of working (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, etc.)
  • Prior experience with campaigns, public affairs, advocacy organizations, or related political work
  • Excellent project and time management skills  
  • Professional, highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

This is a temporary, fully remote, internship (part-time and full-time availability will be considered) with potential for conversion to a regular full time benefits eligible position. The projected start date is in January or February 2026. Compensation is $20.00/hour. Interns are also eligible for 401(k) match, sick time, holiday pay, and paid time off for jury duty.
